Welcome Message
Conference Host: RCSI Centre for Positive Health Sciences

Dear Friends and Colleagues,
We are delighted to welcome you to the 12th European Conference on Positive Psychology (ECPP), which will take place in the vibrant and culturally rich city of Dublin, Ireland, in 2026. Hosted at the iconic Convention Centre Dublin, a world-class and sustainable venue, this event promises to be unlike any other.
This year, we've invited our community to help us organise it. While grounded in rigorous science, ECPP 2026 will boldly address some of the world's most pressing issues, such as war, poverty, climate change, and non-communicable diseases such as cancer , obesity and cardiovascular disease, exploring how positive psychology can meaningfully respond to these global challenges.
One long-standing critique of our field is its emphasis on a "head-up" approach, focusing on the mind and forgetting about the rest of the body. Not this time. In Dublin 2026 we place the body and mind link at the centre of our enquiry, with invited speakers exploring their dynamic interaction in health, wellbeing, and psychological flourishing.
We’re also embracing the richness and diversity of contemporary positive psychology research, with dedicated streams on positive education, workplace wellbeing, positive health, positive technology, the wellbeing arts, and many other positive psychological domains. You'll hear from established experts and emerging researchers, all committed to high scientific standards and straightforward, honest interpretation of findings.
This conference will be a true joy for researchers and practitioners alike. Coaches, medical doctors, educators, workplace wellbeing champions, community leaders and others are all welcome as the our researchers will share evidence-based insights and examples of real-world applications to enhance your work.
Expect more debate than ever before, meaningful discussions, and the chance to connect deeply with colleagues and friends, old and new. For emerging researchers, we offer workshops led by experienced scholars on how to conduct rigorous, impactful research. For experienced researchers, we offer an opportunity to debate and challenge your views and engage in re-designing the future of positive psychology.
And yes, we believe in working hard, but also playing hard. You'll have a chance to move your body, whether through breathing practices or even learning an Irish dance! You might head home ready to impress your friends with your Riverdance routine.
We can't wait to welcome you in person—to learn, share, connect, and co-create the future of positive psychology together.
Warm regards,
Prof. Charles Martin-Krumm

We at RCSI University for Medicine and Health Sciences, Centre for Positive Health Sciences (CPHS) are delighted to have been selected to host the European Conference on Positive Psychology 2026 in Dublin.

Our Centre specialises in the nexus between positive psychology and lifestyle medicine. Lifestyle medicine focuses on preventative health and promotes evidence-based methods for eating well, sleeping soundly, and keeping the physical body healthy. Our theme for the 2026 Conference “Body Meets Mind: Positive Psychology and Health for Everyone” focuses on what we do best, sharing research that expands beyond psychology and towards biology, physiology and health behaviours. This will allow positive psychology researchers to share the latest advancements.

RCSI University is committed to diversity. We have branches, students, alumni and sponsors outside of Europe. Thus we want to ensure that the research promoted in our centre goes beyond the western approach and is aimed at everyone. This means that we will ensure equal opportunities for all researchers, regardless of their experience; this also means that we will encourage sharing of research with diverse communities and cultures.

Our Centre is also involved in a range of funded research projects delving into applying positive psychology and lifestyle medicine using coaching and Artificial Intelligence (AI). This is why we the digital technology theme will feature in the Dublin conference and we are eager to create a forum for researchers to present their projects relating to both positive psychology coaching and the digital application of positive psychology.

Finally, RCSI University of Medicine and Health Sciences is committed to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and is, in fact, ranked first in the world for Goal 3: Good Health and Wellbeing. We do not only teach and research good health and wellbeing but live by wellbeing values every day, which is what we would like to impart to the positive psychology community attending the ENPP Conference in Dublin.

We greatly look forward to welcoming our community to Dublin in 2026.
